What personal data this website collects, why, and what you can do about it. Short version: only what you send us, and only to reply to you.
Who we are
Diff Solutions is a web design and development studio. We are the controller of the personal data described on this page.
For anything about your data, write to hello@diffsolutions.com.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us, plus the basic technical records any website produces.
- The quote form: your name, email address, and, if you add them, your business name, what you need and your message.
- Direct contact: if you email, call or message us on WhatsApp or Viber, we receive your contact details and whatever you write.
- Server logs: our hosting provider records technical data for each request, such as IP address, browser type and the time of the visit.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not use analytics, advertising cookies or tracking pixels, so there is no cookie banner. If that ever changes, this page will be updated and we will ask for your consent first.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To keep the website secure and working. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a safe, reliable site.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or add you to a mailing list.
Who handles it
We use a small number of service providers to run this website. They process data on our behalf:
- Our hosting provider serves the website and keeps the server logs.
- Our email services deliver the quote form to our inbox and store the messages you send us.
- A logo library serves the small technology logos shown on some pages. Your browser requests these images directly, so that service sees your IP address.
- WhatsApp and Viber, only if you choose to contact us there. Their own privacy policies apply.
Some of these providers are based outside the European Union. Where data is transferred outside the EU, it is protected by the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need to answer them and to carry out any project that follows. If no project follows, we delete the enquiry once it is no longer needed, or sooner if you ask.
Records we are required to keep by law, such as invoices, are kept for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
- show you the data we hold about you,
- correct it or delete it,
- restrict or stop how we use it,
- give you a copy in a common format.
Write to hello@diffsolutions.com and we will reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
